First, forgive me. I have no time to write anymore.  My son is obsessed with electronics and I’m desperately trying not to allow him to stare into a cell phone or computer screen.  I also don’t want the wifi to come near his developing brain.

 

I know it is a tough battle that most tell me I will lose, but at almost 10 months, I’m astonished at how many babies are staring into phones all the time and I just can’t allow it to babysit and mesmerize him—-even if it keeps me off of the tools I rely on most for writing.  I have gone back to pen and paper.  And yes, I’m on my phone too much!  Praying to release myself from that yoke.

 

But I digress and I have very little time to post this.

 

I’m truly honored to speaking at my church’s annual “Ladies Tea” this Saturday, May 12th, from 10 – 12.

 

I will be sharing my “mommy testimony” on the day before my very first Mother’s Day.  Wow!  Such a blessing from the Lord.  I already know I will be crying.  You have been warned.

 

The “Ladies Tea” is an annual affair that the ladies at my church look forward to every year.  There’s a time of worship, an awesome brunch, a testimony. and a message.  By the time it’s over, you will be floating from inspiration, encouragement, and friendship.

 

Delicious triangle tea sandwiches, scones, coffee and tea in beautiful tea cups are served and the food is ridiculous.  Those tea sandwiches are by far some of the best I’ve ever tasted.  No really!  Rev. Doreen, our first lady, is the best cook and this brunch is no fly by night type of thing.

 

I wish I had one of those hats English women wear for high tea.  Hmm.  Idea forming.

 

Anyway, I would be so honored if you came out to hear my testimony.  Even if you’ve read the blog and watched the videos, this will be a little different.  I’ve changed it up a bit, I promise.

 

I’ve also been praying and fasting for this event for a few weeks now because I’m believing that someone will draw nearer to Christ that day.  Someone will get deep into a relationship with Christ.  Someone will begin to pursue truth and give God permission to pursue her.  That’s my goal in prayer.  That someone says, “I want to know you more, Jesus.”
